In Celtic
mythology the Pooka is one of the more malevolent of the Faerie. While
not exactly a shape-changer the Pooka is known to have multiple forms.
Demending on where one looks a Pooka may take the form of a Goblin or
a Bogeyman, a gient eagle or a black goat. However, the form most often
associated with the Pooka is that of a dark horse. Pookas are known as
terrifying and sometimes violent creatures who often require gifts ot
placate them.
Pooka, the custom art knife, is the largest
DarkLight I've made to date; holding a multibar blade of Gordian knot
pattern welded damascus, multi-piece mosaic damascus grips and twist pattern
damascus spacer and lockbar. The grips and custom pivot pin are inlayed
with white lip mother of pearl; the thumbstud/eye is ladder pattern damascus
and is inlayed with abalone. Pooka, when open was nearly 12 inches long..
