Witch was the inspiration for the Mystic Knife Series; and the DarkLight series which followed. The steel for Witch was hand forged in two sessions; both times I was forced to forge by forge light alone. It so happened that my forge sessions for Witch occured in the evening and the first time my light bulbs blew and I had no replacements handy. The second time a bad thunderstorm knocked out all power to the shop. Witch was created using 66 layers of 1095 and N-400. The double edged blade was hollow-ground and the knife was polished bright and nitre blued for contrast. The grips were layered nickel silver and O-1 with the O-1 cold blued.

damascus and many other unique and stylized designs. On my site you will see custom knives

such as Witch, Sorceress and Ras al-Ghul using exotic materials such as damascus, mokume

and pearl. These knives will range from unique fixed blades to manual and automatic folding

knives. Many of my knives are designed around myths from various backgrounds - such as

Celtic (knives like Bane Shide), or Egyptian cultures (with knives such as Ammut). The knives

are carefully hand crafted pieces of carving and sculpture. The damascus is custom forged for

each folder and often I will use mosaic damascus and pearl inlays in my pieces.
