There are many different types of edged weapons that
I have focused on or plan on focusing on.
There are swords - short and long; wakisashi, kantana,
tanto, Celtic sword, rapier, epee, claymore
and many others. Then there are fixed blade knives;
Bowie knives, hunting knives, skinning,
utility knives, daggers, fighting knives and on to an
endless list. Finally there are folders; folding
knives, or pocket knives, can be automatic or manual
or anywhere inbetween. Knives in general
can be artistic ( art knives ), made from rare and exotic
materials such as damascus, mokume
mosaic damascus and handled in pearl, ivory, bone, horn.
Or they can be designed to get the job
done; such as hunting and utility knives.
